Guru Har Kishan Sahib Ji was born on Sawan Vadi 10 (8th Sawan) Bikram Samvat 1713 (17 July 1656) at Kiratpur Sahib. He was the second son of Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji and Mata Kishan Kaur. Ram Rai Ji was the elder brother of Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji. Ram Rai ji was expelled from the Sikh Panth because of his anti-Guru Ghar activities and standing in favor of the Mughal Sultanate.

Raja Jai ​​Singh sent his messenger to Kiratpur and ordered the Guru to be brought to Delhi. At first Guru Sahib expressed reluctance. But on the repeated requests of his Gursikhs and Raja Jai ​​Singh, he agreed to go to Delhi.

The term was applied only to the future Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, who was living in the village of Bakala on the banks of the Beas River in Punjab. In his last time, Guru Sahib instructed all the people that no one should cry on his death. Rather, we will sing the words written in Gurubani. In this way, on Bala Pir Chait Sudi 14 (3rd Vaisakh) Bikram Samvat 1721 (9 April 1664) softly reciting the word Waheguru merged into Jyotijot.
